What was the last thing you did for play or fun?

Life often feels like a balancing act between personal and professional responsibilities, but every so often, something comes along that provides the perfect escape. For me, that something has been supporting my son during his basketball games. Watching him play has become one of the most joyful and grounding parts of my routine.
There’s something truly special about seeing his drive and passion on the court. It’s more than just a game—it’s a testament to his dedication, teamwork, and growth. As I cheer him and his team on from the sidelines, I find myself fully immersed in the moment, forgetting about emails, deadlines, and to-do lists.
The beauty of sports is in its unpredictability—wins and losses are inevitable. Yet, each game brings an opportunity to learn and grow. Watching my son navigate these highs and lows with resilience reminds me of the importance of showing up, no matter the outcome. His commitment is contagious, and it’s hard not to feel inspired by his determination.
For me, these moments go beyond the court. They’re a reminder of how crucial it is to find time for joy and connection, even in the midst of life’s busyness. Whether it’s celebrating a hard-fought win or offering encouragement after a tough loss, being present for my son is a gift that fills my heart with gratitude.
Supporting his basketball journey has taught me the value of taking time to play—both literally and figuratively. Life doesn’t always have to be about the grind. Sometimes, the best memories are made cheering from the sidelines, soaking in the thrill of the game, and simply enjoying the ride.
Don’t Stop. Don’t Settle. Keep Stepping.
