What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Life has a way of showing us layers—both the ones we show the world and the ones we keep tucked away. When people meet me, they often see the roles I carry: coach, author, mother, wife, and speaker. But there’s always more beneath the surface, more than meets the eye.
Something most people don’t know about me is that I once believed my setbacks defined my entire story. At one point, I felt broken beyond repair—growing up with childhood trauma and navigating the devastating loss of my firstborn son, Braylen, who passed away after just 28 days on this earth. It was a grief so deep I didn’t know if I would ever heal.
But here’s the part many may not know: what was meant to break me actually became the cornerstone of my purpose. Those painful moments shaped me into who I am today. I learned that it’s not the setback itself that defines you, but how you choose to rise from it. I found beauty in the brokenness and a renewed sense of hope and strength through my faith.
So today, I share that part of my story to remind you that no matter where you are on your journey, healing and thriving are always possible. It may take time, but I’m living proof that what you go through can become what propels you forward. There’s beauty in the mess, and power in choosing to keep going.
